A day at the zoo!

This weekend was the first really nice weekend in a LONG time! So we took advantage of it!! Saturday, Matt worked in the yard and I went and hung out with my mom! We went to a Women Expo and had a lot of fun. We go every spring and fall when it comes to the expo center here. We bought Josie lots of fun stuff. I bought her a ton of cute headbands and bows and other fun stuff! Then my mom and I met up with my dad at my grandma Langs nursing home and visited with her for a while. Meanwhile Matt wanted to work on the yard. He did a GREAT job.. He is such a hard worker!! Him and his dad cut down a tree haha. A huge tree. I think they had fun doing it though lol. Then today, Matt wanted to just hang out and relax. My sister and Rog were taking Kyrie to the zoo and invited all of us, so my mom and I rode out together and went with them! We had sooooo much fun! Then I came home and Matt and I went to his parents for a bbq.. Pretty much spent the whole day outside!!! :) I love this weather. Too bad its only going to last until Tues and then more rain, and who knows, we live in Utah, maybe even snow hahah! Heres some pics from the zoo (Ok theyre mostly of Kyrie haha) !

I have such a hard time keeping up on this.. I love to write, just never can get myself to sit down and type!!!

It has been eventful lately. I had my 6 month Dr appointment last week and it went great. Her heart rate was perfect. I am measuring up to where I should be. I have gained 14 lbs total, which is good for how far along I am. I hope I keep that up! I would hate to get bigger than I should lol. As for my little peanut, she is 14 inches long and 1.5 pounds. She is growing fat on her little bones and her blood vessels are now starting to form underneath her skin, and as they begin to fill with blood, her skin will be taking on a pinkish appearance. (Thanks to www.pregnancy-calendars.net). It's so neat to read on how she is growing each week. I haven't mentioned it much because I have been trying to be more optimistic vs. pessimistic, but this whole pregnancy has been nerve-racking for me.. I have been so scared to lose her.. I know I was pretty good after I passed my first trimester, but in the back of my head I knew things could still happen. I guess thats what sucks about being in the medical field.. Knowing too much maybe. I am pretty much past that scare.. I am almost in the 3rd trimester. For the first time, a couple of weeks ago, I felt her move! It was amazing.. Beyond amazing! I love it, I love feeling her move, and kick. Matt loves it too! I love that I'm growing God's creation in my tummy.. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity. I have thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. Im so glad I can say that. I have not had a bad experience whatsoever. I have not been sick, nauseous, hurting, or anything that comes with pregnancy. I can only hope my next pregnancy will be this easy. It makes it nice to enjoy it and not take one day for granted! Here is my 6 month belly pic. I am carrying her all up front.. The whole 14 pounds is right there haha Even though it looks like it, I have not gained much anywhere but my belly. (My pants are too big so they are unflattering, dont mind it lol)
Easter was fun this year. We had breakfast with Matts parents. That was really fun :) Then we went to my grandma and grandpas and did the usual! :) We had fun! We went to my moms after and hung out for a bit. Matt taught Kyrie how to Hula Hoop (well kinda, shes too little to get it) and then we went outside and blew bubbles and played with her Easter presents :) She is at such a fun age! I love it. Shes so active and is talking a ton!

My birthday was last weekend. It was one of the best birthdays! Matt threw a party for me and had some our close friends over!! It was alot of fun :) He even invited my sister and brother. He is so sweet :) He went all out and decorated, bought a cake for me (at the same place we had our wedding cake made, since its my favorite!! That had a lot of thought in it, and meant so much to me!!) made dinner, barbecued, had drinks, beer, built a fire in the firepit and even bought me the CUTEST purse!! Hes very attentive to things.. I had showed it to him once and even told my mom about it because she wanted an idea for my birthday, but he got it. I am so lucky to have him.. Truly lucky. I dont deserve him, thats for sure :) We had that party on Friday night and had a really really fun time! Then Saturday we had a reception to go to for one of his 2nd or 3rd cousin and then his parents took me out to dinner for my birthday!! We went to TGI Fridays and they had the workers sing to me!! Haha, I didnt get embarressed though. It takes alot to embarress me luckily. Then Sunday, we went to my moms for a BBQ. My sister, Rog, Kyrie, Steve, mom and dad, Phyllis, Grandma and Grandpa all came over. We had a really good time. Kyrie sang Happy Birthday to me all by herself!

Steve, Kyrie and I. Oh!! it was the cutest thing!!! My big craving this pregnancy is Banana Slurpees from 7-11!! So my cute brother gave me a gift card to 7-11 to get lots of slurpees! (Im sure my mom picked it up, but I still thought it was so funny!!!!)

This is at my moms house for the bbq. They are such goofs! But I love them both LOTS!
So this has a neat story behind it. When Natalie and I were young kids, we used to jump on our bed and sing "Two little monkeys jumping on the bed, One fell off and bonked her head.. The mama called the doctor and the doctor said -NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED"!!! My mom used to video tape it and it was like a night time routine.. Well one random Sunday while I was at my moms house, Kyrie was watching Mickey Mouse in my moms room. I went in there and kinda bounced on my moms bed with her on it and sang that song. Bad idea!!! Guess what her favorite thing to do now!! She LOVES to play that now. That next week, a Tuesday, all of us girls were at my moms for Bead Night and my mom decided to pull out old home video and guess what the first one was!! Yeah, Nat and I jumping on the bed singing "Two little monkeys.."! Kyrie was quite confused that it was her mom and Aunt Tami jumping on the bed when they were little. So now that is our thing!!! She has everyone jump on my moms bed now! On Sunday at the BBQ, she grabbed my grandpas finger and said 'come on Pepere!" and she led him straight into my moms room!!! HAHA She has got me, "Gunkle" Matt, Her mama, "Gunkle" Steve, My grandpa, Aunt Claire and Im sure more to do it!! Heres some fun pics of it :)



And then not even a day later, Im at Target and guess what I just happen to find! I had went to Target to buy some Maternity clothes and while walking back to that area, these were on a rack right on the edge of an aisle haha! So I bought the smallest size they had (a 12 month) and then a 4T, so we can give them to Josie and Kyrie after Josie is born!!! :) They will be big on her but thats ok, its all about the idea! (They say "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!!")

Last but not least, Kyrie is in this "I dont know" phase. She uses that as an answer alot lol. SHe says it in the CUTEST little concerned voice. I found this shirt and had to get it for her.. IDK= I dont know! What a cutie!

March madness :)

Gotta love Daylight savings time! Spring ahead... I hate mornings, let alone losing an extra hour of sleep haha. The older I get, it gets a little easier, I guess :) It takes a couple days and I'll be used to it. I like living in Indiana where we didn't have to change our clocks at all. It was nice. The only thing that was confusing was trying to figure out how many hours ahead of my mom I was. Didnt want to call her too early or late. I wish Utah would join Indiana, Arizona and Hawaii and give up Daylight Savings Time. Oh well, just one of those things you deal with :)

My pregnancy is still going wonderful.. No complaints at all! I have my energy back so much more. Boy am I thankful for that!! :) Each day is a blessing.. I love growing this child in me. I love her so much already. I feel her move like a little butterfly in my tummy. Matt felt her for the first time last week. He shook my tummy and put his hand on it, and she like dragged her elbow or knee across his hand. I told him he pissed her off and she was letting him know lol. We had our 20 week appointment last Monday and it went perfect. She is growing just as she should be, perfect little hands, toes, knees, spine, arms, etc. We watched her heart beat.. All four chambers of it. It was unbelievable to see her heart beat, in her body , in my body. Pretty darn amazing if you ask me! We saw her kidneys, stomach, and bladder. I am so excited about the name we picked out for her. Josie Isabella Dickinson. I think it is adorable. She already has so much for when she comes. Her grandmas, aunts, great grandma, and more have already bought her a ton of stuff :) So many little cute pink outfits (and other colors, dont worry haha), blankets, both handmade and bought, picture frames, stuffed animals, shoes, etc. I still have 3 showers too!! Yikes! We are very lucky to have the family and friends that we do! They are wonderful to us! Thank you guys. We havent started on her room but will in the next couple months. Im kind of dreading it.. The window may be a pain in the butt but I'll let Matt and his dad stress about that! I am looking forward to the painting and carpeting. The furniture will be so nice in there! It feels like we have so much time left but July will be here before we know it! Better get on it!

I promise a better one next time.. 20.5 weeks here:Tomorrow is mine and Matts 2 year anniversary! What an amazing two years this has been. We have been through alot in our marriage so far. In 2 years, we lost my uncle Randy, his cousin Chris, his grandma Alvey and also lost a pregnancy. That is alot for a newly married couple to deal with. We had to learn how each other grieved and how to be there for eachother. On the other end of the spectrum, we have traveled a lot, bought our first home, been river rafting, and other fun, happy things! Never a dull moment with us :) We have truly learned a great deal from eachother, and become closer and stronger because of it all. I wouldnt trade anything for the last 3 and a half years with him. He is my soulmate and my best friend! God blessed me with a kind hearted, loving, wonderful man. Here's to 70 more years together Babe. I love you Matt! (You are going to be a great daddy and I can't wait to grow and learn from having a child with you!)
We bought a new car last week! We had the Honda and then the Toyota truck. We wanted a more family friendly vehicle than the truck, so we traded it in. The Honda is still an awesome little car but I wanted a mid size SUV when I became a mommy to be safer in and easier to tote a kid in and out of. We shopped for a while and did our research and finally decided on a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Its very nice, cheaper than the truck (lower payment too), fully loaded, only 28 k miles, 2007, black and sleek :) I love it!!!! It gets decent gas mileage too!! I am so excited about it!!
Back to work tomorrow bright and early (thanks again to the time change). I don't mind though. I love my job :) Hope everyone has a good week XOXO

Updates!

I am 19 weeks pregnant (4 months, 3 weeks) this week. I have my 20 weeks OB appointment on Monday March 8th :) Im looking forward to it!! I am starting to show. I have lost 6 pounds since I went to my first appointment in Dec. It really made me nervous. I talked to the doctor and he reassured me that it was normal since I'm using so much energy and work on my body to grow this little baby. It causes weight loss in those who are, how do we put it, on the chunky side lol. I cant do up any of my pants anymore so I wear these cool new things called belly bands. They are a great invention and postpone me having to buy maternity pants for awhile. I have already been shopping and have some realllly cute maternity tops. Secretly, I have been really excited to start showing. It makes it more real for me. I know everything is okay so far, but I still have a little anxiety about something happening again. I want to feel her and see my belly protruding so I KNOW its real. I felt her the other night and it was the neatest thing! Wow this is all so incredible and magical (corny I know) but I have wanted it so badly and dont want to take one moment for granted. I had a blood test last Friday to test her for Spina Bifada, Downs Syndrome, and Trisomy 18. The nurse called yesterday and said the results were perfectly normal so thats one more weight off my chest. I would love her regardless though. On Monday, when I go in for my next appointment, they do an ultrasound (I know, crazy, another one) to check the length of her bones, skull, spine, look at all 4 chambers of her heart, her organs, etc! Its amazing what they can do these days.. They want to make sure she is growing at a normal rate and proportionately. At 19 weeks, I should have gained 8-14 pounds, growing tummy, itchy, dry tummy (which I put Vitamin E lotion on LOTS), and less fatigue. My appetite should be growing but its not at all. I cant eat as much as they want you to. I eat 6 small meals a day but have to force myself most of the time. I drink SOOOOO much water lol. I have been having some back pain but not too bad yet. Its the sciatic nerve so it goes down my left leg. I can live with all that! Its been soo easy. I know its not over yet, but I'll take it as it comes. As for little Josie, she is 6 inches long, weighs 14 ounces (not yet a pound!), is growing fine scalp hair, has little eyebrows, her little toes and fingers are growing nails, and she is getting bigger every day! We still have the room to remodel for her and look forward to doing that. I will post pics before and after! But it wont be for a whiile :)

Its a...

We are having a little baby GIRL! We found out this last Monday and we are thrilled :) We are going to name her Josie Isabella! Oh boy, am I excited to start preparing for her!

Its 12:30 am and I am wide awake.. I really wish I could sleep but I am not tired at all.. It sucks. I dont know why either. Oh well, I'll just continue watching Forensics on TV..

Matt and I heard the baby's heartbeat tonight!! It was so neat! We bought a baby heart monitor and have been trying to hear the heartbeat but have been unable to until now. It was really faint, but we definitely heard it!! It was so neat.. Just to hear that tiny fast beat was amazing. We have an appointment on February 8, and we will find out what it is! I believe its a boy though. I have had two dreams now and the last one was amazing.. It was so real and I held him and he was just incredibly perfect and beautiful. I fell in love with him in my dream! It was really weird to wake up the next morning and look around and realize that it was a dream. Crazy huh?! My family thinks I am going to be disappointed if its a girl after how sure I am that it's a boy. But they are wrong! lol. I have always wanted a little girl first. I am so girly and want a little girl to doll up, put frills, curls, and dress her up! So either one would make me so incredibly happy, as long as they are healthy, I don't care!! Pretty much everyone agrees with me that it is a little boy.. Karla, My mom, grandma, Matt, Mother in law, my boss, Natalie, Roger, etc.. But the one person who is NOT convinced is my Dad!! He says that I am having a little girl! Isnt that cute :) I love my dad!

I finally got to see my little Mason and Abby!! They are so darn cute!! I missed them ALOT! Mason was so excited to see Matt and I!! Abby is warming up to us, she doesnt remember us since she was so young when they left. And thats ok :) slowly but surely! I'm so happy that they are here for a couple weeks. Matt and I did little Valentines gifts for them. They are staying at our house the last 4 days that they are here. Im looking forward to that!! Sleepover at our house haha!

I'm going to lay down and see if I cant get some sleep.. Night!

Time for a quick update

Happy belated Birthday to my Mom (Jan 25), Aunt Diane (Jan 22, did I get that right), Brother in law Roger (Jan.24), Ned (Jan 26), and Tess (Jan 26)!!! Lots of Bdays in January.. still in the next week, Happy Birthday to My grandma, Aunt Stacey, Tien and I think thats it. Sooo sorry If I forgot yours, way too many to remember this month lol!

Nothing too much going on.. Made a cake for my coworkers daughter (that's Tess!) and loved doing it! Making another one for Friday.. A wedding cake. Yikes, Im scared. They just want one like Phyllis's one I made for their reception so I can handle that! But those are scary because so many people see it, you want it to be perfect! I have some pretty good ideas though and think it will turn out good! I have been using my new Kitchenaid to make them and OMG it made it SOOO much easier. What was I thinking with that darn handmixer.. I love using it haha. One night I made a batch of homemade cookies in it, they were so yummy! I was impressed lol.

Our life is kinda boring right now.. Just being pregnant and dying to find out what we are having!! Its getting close, I am 14 weeks along right now, so a couple of weeks :) I have a feeling its a boy!! We are a third of the way done. Wooo hooo.

Happy New Year

I am finally back! Time flies and before I knew it, a month had passed! We have been doing really good but keeping busy. Not sure where to start! Left off right before Christmas so Ill start there :)
Christmas was nice this year! We did Christmas Eve at my grandmas and Santa came. I was not feeling good at all, still had problems breathing and so I was miserable. The next day we had breakfast at my moms house and that was alot of fun! I was feeling a tad bit better and didnt want this plague in my lungs to stop me from having Christmas. We went to Nat and Rog's to see what Santa had brought for Kyrie. Oh boy, was Santa good to her!! She was so darn cute too. Thought it was the neatest thing ever! In fact, Natalie said the next day she woke up, went over to the tree, and asked why Santa didnt leave presents again! Haha :) We video'd with Dave, Teresa, the kids, Pauline and Robert for over an hour. It was really fun to see Mason and Abbys excitement of Christmas too! The toys were piled high there! Santa was good to them too! Matts parents were out of town in Georgia visiting Dave, Teresa and the kids for Christmas. It was sad that we didnt get to spend time with them during Christmas, but we understood. New Years was low keyed.. Had dinner at Matts parents house, played wii and thats about it Lol. We were lame this year. Oh well, next year :)
Had our 12 week OB appointment last week ! Wow the little peanut is getting so big!!! Its crazy what 4 weeks does in the womb :) I feel great too, pregnancy wise! My lungs have yet filled up with gunk from the week long inversion again. I can't breath and dont sleep at night.. I cough ALL night!! I dont cough much in the day, just at night!! I have tried so many different things (that are safe of course).. Nebulizing treatment before bed, taking my inhaler, drinking water, humidifier in our room, cough drops, and Robitussin.. I still cough like crazy.. I need it to go away!! My OB doc even put me on a steriod to help.. And you guys KNOW how bad I hate steroids, I usually refuse to take them, but for the baby I will. Back to being a pregnant mom-t0-be lol. I have slight nausea, and thats only when my body is telling me to eat. Its funny, I'll start getting really nauseous and eat lunch and be fine! I think Ive been pretty lucky thus far :) The doctor was really impressed that I stayed the same weight (well lost 0.2 pounds lol) over the holidays. I ate normally too throughout the holidays, didnt hold back haha. He says he doesnt like weight gain until month 4 or so. I am one week shy of passing the first trimester. I still have a super lack of energy and am tired alot. But I'll take it if thats the worst Im going to get in my first trimester! Im still convinced Im having a little baby boy.. I cant WAIT to find out. Less than a month and we'll all know!
Teresa and the kids are coming to visit next week! I am SOOOOOO excited, I miss them alot. They are coming for her moms wedding. She will be here for 3 weeks. I want to take a couple days off work and spend time with them while shes here. I cant wait!
My latest hobby (well trying to make it) is crocheting. My coworker taught me how to do it and I like it :) I am in the process of making a light mint green blankie for our baby. Since we dont know what it is yet, I am going neutral :) I am slow at it, but getting the hang of it. At least I have almost 5 and a half months to finish it haha.
Thats about it right now. My brain cant think of anymore to write, its tired haha. Hope everyone has a good day :)

3 days to CHRISTmas :)

Oh man, I have been sick.. Started this weekend. The inversion/smog has been SOO yucky and thick here last week. I started with a cough Friday and then woke up Saturday morning with the feeling of a elephant sitting on my chest! It was so hard to breathe. Saturday wasnt too bad but that night was AwFUL.. coughed allllllllll night.. being pregnant I didnt think I could take anything. Come to find out, Robitussin DM is okay. So Sunday I kept up with that, but it just got worse and worse. I missed work Monday and that evening it got worse.. So here I am Tuesday night laying on my couch, miserable, hacking my head off, cant breathe, and wanting nothing more then to be better for Christmas. I want to go to work really bad.. Ive already missed two days and dont want to miss tomorrow too.. No paycheck! lol. but then again, its not fair to my coworkers to get them sick right before Christmas too.. I dont know, I'll see how I feel in the morning.

I have been so excited for Christmas. I cant wait to give everyone their gifts :) I always try and put alot of thought into them. We gave Pauline and Robert their gifts on Sunday. They left for Georgia today. They are spending Christmas with Matts brother and family this year. I made Pauline a watch and we bought her a purse she had wanted. She really liked them!! I was glad. The purse is one she wanted and almost bought at my purse party. She was so surprised that we got it for her!! We gave Robert a gift card to Sears. I know, boring.. I hate doing gift cards, but sometimes people are so hard to buy for!! They gave us our annual Christmas Eve pajamas (which I love getting!!). They gave Matt a hoodie and half a cell phone lol. I bought Matt a phone and Pauline wanted to go $150 towards it for Christmas. So he will get that on Friday :) They gave me an adorable sweater, pearl necklace and $150. Very nice huh! :)

I made this cake for a friends baby shower. Not one of my best.. but alright :)

A couple of weeks ago.. Kyrie, Nat and I made a snowman. We had a lot of fun!!
Well I think Im going to go get a nice warm cup of hot cocoa. Goodnight :)

ITS A.... Baby! :)

What a bad blogger I am!! I think its been approximately 3 weeks and I havent done a single post LOL. ALOT has gone on so we will blame it on us being really busy. First, most exciting news is we are going to have a baby!!!!!!!!!!! Its been a rough 7 weeks.. I have been sitting on pins and needles hoping it will be okay this time. On Monday all my symptoms went away! No more tenderness, nausea, etc. I was so scared by Tuesday. I got really down and thought maybe I had lost it again. We were so excited to be pregnant again and the possibility of that was devastating.. We had decided to switch doctors since we werent happy with the last OB doc we had. I had an appointment set for Wed Dec 16 for my first visit. This all happened yesterday so I called the new doc whom I havent seen yet, and left a message. They were in surgery yesterday so I knew I wouldnt get a call until the next day. They called me back this morning at 830 and told me I could come in at 1:15 and get an ultrasound. I was very impressed with their promptness and concern. They understood my fears and were so good to Matt and I when we went in. They did an ultrasound and we got to see the little peanut, watch the heart beat like a little blinking Christmas light and hear it beat 126 times per minute! It was incredible.. I cant describe the emotion.. Matt and I just sat in silence. What a neat neat thing! Our due date changed to a couple days earlier. Our new due date is July 29, 2010 :) :) :) (PS i think its a boy!)

My grandpa turned 70 on November 29 this year. My grandma and family threw him a reallly nice party! I made the cake for him. What do you think?

We have our Christmas tree up for this year! We put it up the day after Thanksgiving, which is my family tradition. It was so fun picking it out, putting it up, and decorating it :) The first picture is sideways but it shows how huge it is!! We bought an 8 and a half foot tree and our ceiling is only 8 feet high hahaha. I wanted a BIG tree for our window, so there she is! We cut it down a little and the angel's head touches the ceiling but I love it!! The second picture isnt a really good one, because the ornaments werent on it yet and the window is so bright behind it.

My grandma and grandpa Pinelle made us this beautiful clock for Christmas last year and I decorate it with flowers depending on the season. (PS it was my idea everyone, copy cats haha just kidding!) I adore it so I wanted to post a picture of it with my poinsettias and berries in it! Isnt it so nice!!

Here is Kyrie doing her silly "cheese" face while posing her new snowbibs! She likes them. Her mommy and I went shopping one day and got them for her. She is such a ham! She has SUCH an amazing little personality. I love watching her grow up! Just wish I could do the same with Mason and Abby, but I try to by webcam, pictures and talking to Teresa on the phone.

The weather is crazy here! This morning it was 9 degrees on my way to work!! 9 degrees!!! Thats not typical.. It was the coldest morning this year since January! Around noon it was only up t0 15 degrees.. yikes, NOT COOL! I got a new coat though and I love it! Its a white columbia 3-in-1 kind. Its SO warm :) :) Yay for keeping me and the peanut warm LOL

I know, early for me huh! And Ive been up since 2:30 am! We just got back from Twilight: new moon, and it was AweSOME! I loved it! I want to see it again! I went with Matt, my friend Shelby and her friend Jer. Im such a dork, but thats ok :) It was definately worth the wait! And Im definately still a Team Edward girl haha. So now Im just killing time until time for work. I have already done the dishes and cleaned up a little so thought I'd write a over-due post! I should be working on my Christmas watches. But I dont have much brain power as you can tell from this bad-grammered post so far.

Last weekend, we went to Salina for Erin's wedding. It was nice! We had a good time and she was a pretty bride. It was fun to be with the family.. we always have a good time together. It was a short trip but was good to go. It snowed like CRAZY down there, pretty much a whiteout at one point. But we came home Sunday morning with no problems. That night I went with my mom, dad, sis and Kyrie to Disney On Ice; Princess Classics! It was ALOT of fun! Kyrie loved it! She stared in awe, hahha. She sat on Papas lap, ate popcorn with him and didnt take her eyes off of the characters :) Shes so darn cute!

Wednesday, the 18th, was my little niece, Abby's bday!!! She turned 1 years old :) Shes so sweet. We got to see them on the Xbox webcam last night and its amazing how big the kids are getting. It has been only 2 and a half months that they've been gone, but holy cow, it seems wayyy longer! Abby is jibber jabbing like crazy and Mason is still crazy! He was showing off his muscles and so excited to see us! I cant wait until Teresa's mom gets married so we can see her when she flies out for it! (Oh and the kids too! lol)

Dont be jealous but guess what? I am finished Christmas shopping! And its only November 20th! I have been shopping on and off since June and I went the other night (spent a lot) and FINISHED up! Only people left are Matts Dad and Brother but I told Matt he gets to take care of them because I have NO idea what to get them. I took care of everyone else so its the least he can do lol. I love Christmas! I love buying and giving people presents!! Oh I guess Im not completely finished, I still need to finish up my Angel tree presents for my 9 year old little girl. It will be nice to just go shopping with her in mind and give her a nice Christmas. I wish I could do more. I wish I could help many others. But I guess one child is better than none, right :)

This next week will be fun! Only have 3 days of work and then Thanksgiving. This year we are not going to Thanksgiving though! I told Matt we are skipping Thanksgiving to do something special for his birthday! We have no time to celebrate it because Thurs is turkey day, Friday is the parade and put up our tree and make grandpas cake, Saturday is Grandpas big 70th birthday bash, and Sunday (his birthday) he is leaving at 8 in the morning for California for training for work .. Im so sad I cant spend his birthday with him.. So I decided out of all the events next week, we would skip Thanksgiving and I would take him overnight somewhere. I have it reserved and paid for but I cant say what it is because he reads my blog too lol. After we go, I'll tell you where I took him :) Im looking forward to it though! He deserves it. And we dont get away, just the two of us, at all. He will be gone for 4 days.. It sucks but I'll manage. Im sure I'll spend Sunday with my mom and dad.. Monday I'll work, then Im hanging out with Kyrie while Nat and Rog go to a concert, Tues I'm on my own, then he'll be back late Wednesday. So not too bad!

Well only an hour and a half until time for work. I think I'll turn on some Christmas music and work on some more jewelry :) Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to all those who have served our country and still are.. I give them all so much respect and love for what they have given us. And to the most amazing, kind hearted veteran in the whole world, I love you Grandpa :) Serving our country is an unselfish, brave thing to do and I am thankful to those who have/are! Thank you Grandpa, Uncle Paul, Uncle Dick, Jer, Dave, Josh, Eric, and everyone else. I love you all!

Fridays are fabulous..

This morning started off pretty crummy. Woke up to get ready for work and my throat and head hurt sooo bad. First thought was Swine Flu.. great lol. Nothing else hurt or felt sick though, so I called my boss and asked if I could just take an IBU and go back to bed for a couple hours. I felt so much better when I woke up. I didnt want to be sick this weekend lol! We are going to see Nitro Circus's new movie at the ESA tonight! One of our patients at work is a producer for them and gave us free tickets to go!!! We are hoping to meet Travis Pastrana and others :) I am also making a cake for my boss's granddaughter tomorrow morning and cant be sick to do that. I hope it turns out okay, its a pan Ive never used before so I'm a little nervous that it will turn out alright. I will post pics of it later.

Ive been having a hard week.. Tomorrow would have been my due date to have our baby. Its harder than I thought. I thought I was ok and over it but the little reminders are hard. I want to have a baby so bad.. I cant describe the pain.. Matt has been amazing through this all. He lets me just cry.. he held me last night as I cried all over his hoodie lol. We have been trying to get pregnant for over 3 months now and its frustrating. I know the time will come when its right, but just the frustration of not getting pregnant and it being my due date. Its hard but something I will get through just like everything else.

I have decided to adopt an angel on the Angel Tree this year. Im really excited to be doing this. The idea came from my sadness that I have felt this last week. This Christmas we would be buying baby clothes, and presents for our child.. Since that has changed I want to give another child Christmas. My angel is a 9 year old little girl. I want to buy her a coat, clothes, socks, shoes, toys, etc... Matt and I do well at this time in our lives and I want to share what I can with others. Matt suggested today that we should adopt more angels and not buy for our family members, but cant do that because I have already started shopping and am about half way finished. At least we can give one child Christmas. When my heart hurts, I try to find a remedy usually by making something good out of the bad.. It helps me feel better. I know even though I am hurting, someone is not. That makes me feel good. I am fortunate for all the blessings in my life, I truly am.

Angel tree

Halloween has come and gone.. Sad. I love getting all dressed up and seeing all the kiddos in their costumes! My costume for our 2nd and third party was a hot air balloon lol. Everyone kept asking me if I was the 'balloon boy' (the young kid that everyone thought was in that homemade balloon that flew across Colorado), or if I was from the movie "Up". It was funny. I got a lot of compliments. We had a great time. The party at our house was a lot of fun! We had a yummy dinner, lots of treats, had a costume contest (which I won 'best overall', i gave my prize to Lisa because I didnt want to win, the hostess isnt suppose to win! lol) Everyone was dressed up! I really loved having it at my house, first holiday there! Then on Halloween, we went to Joe and Kathys (Matts cousins) and had a bash there. Had my first copper camel there, wow those were good. I think I found my new favorite liquor shot hahaha. Left from there, went trick or treating at my mom and dads (well more like came over, raided their cabinets, ate stuff and hung out haha). My mom, Nat, Kyrie and I got tickets to go see Disney On Ice! Im excited to take my niece to see it. She will love it. Especially since she just got back from Disneyland and knows all the characters! It will be fun. Its not until Nov 15 but the way time has been flying, it will be here in no time.

So for the best news of the month.. drum roll please... I bought our NEW MOON tickets! lol I cant wait!!! I am a Twilight nerd, but Im cool with that haha! Im willing to admit it :) I wanted to hit a 12:05 am showing on Fri Nov 20 (opening day), but they were all sold out.. I did NOT want to have to wait until Friday after work, so guess what I did !! Yep took the only showing left- at 3:00 am Friday morning! Hahaha, I know, call me crazy! Matt was okay with it and we are going to go to the movie and then go straight to work! Only 16 days left!
